Five and a half years ago we (Sarah and Miriam) met for a brunch. What started as poached eggs and a conversation quickly turned into a crazy idea to start a community for Women in Pharma.

We wanted to create a space where the amazing women in pharma could come together, be their authentic selves, learn from and get inspired by hearing each other's stories and break the mould of traditional 'blue' pharma events.

We decided to do things differently. We hoped a few people would come. And tried to ignore our imposter syndrome telling us 'who were WE to do this?'

Five and a half years.
Over 3500 followers.
Over 100 podcast episodes.
And 30 events later...

...we have been blown away by the experience. Daring to put ourselves out there enabled us to meet so many amazing new people, learn and grow so much and come to realise the impact we could have just by putting our mind and energy to it.

We hope we've achieved our mission to inspire and empower you, our community.

What we've loved more than anything is hosting live events. Meeting you all. Creating experiences unlike anything you'd experienced in your corporate lives. Enabling you to make new friends. We are so grateful to all those who have offered us their townhalls, volunteered for and sponsored us. Without you none of this would have happened.

We've loved supporting people with their career journeys, coaching people and helping people think bigger about what they could achieve in their lives and careers.

We have also gradually become experts in women's health which we'd never have imagined would have happened when we started out.

As it turns out this has become the most important thing for both of us.

After launching our first white paper Beyond Bikini Medicine, two and a half years ago, we realised we had a bigger mission.

To shine a light on the women's health gap and help the industry realise the massive opportunity if they did.

This realisation inspired us to create a new narrative which nobody else seems to be saying. That this isn't just a women's health problem. This is a precision medicine problem.

And that is the future of our industry. But right now, it has a massive blindspot which completely misses the critical importance of sex in health, disease and their treatments.

In July we launched sexfactor.science and our new white paper: The Sex Factor: Precision Medicine's Missing Variable.

We launched to a room of men and women. Secured the support of over 30 ambassadors from across the health ecosystem. HCP expert collaborators fiercely behind us. And we are on a mission to change a paradigm at scale and in record time. Something that usually takes decades or longer. We need to do it ASAP because AI has changed everything. So we need to reinvent medicine based on biological sex. NOW!

The sad truth we've come to realise is that we need to end one chapter to go fully into the next. To speak with one coherent voice about health for males and females.

So we've decided to retire Women in Pharma. This website will remain for the coming few months and you can still join our LinkedIn group.
